How can you do that to a cat??????

Kevin’s former boss just posted these pictures to his blog. Why would anyone do that to his cat?

So of course, Kevin had to do it too. Here is Tiger Lily as purrito.

And one with Kevin’s new jazz hat

But notice that Ralph was not impressed. It takes more than fancy clothes to make an impression on that boy.

I’ve found it’s actually common among bet owners. In the comments you’ll see that one lady “bowritto’d” her dog.

Aside from looking pissed, Izzy was purring the whole time. She’s a complete attention whore and I think both she and I had fun. If your animal(s) have the personality for it, I suggest giving it a try.

Oops. That was supposed to be “pet” not bet.

Also, I thought you might think this was cute. Maybe not if you’re not into dressing up animals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xgk9ouBuj-4

Yeah, Tiger Lily purred the whole while Kevin made her into a purrito too. She likes to cuddle.

  5. Cute! There was no purring for my Purrito. He had this look of utter boredom with a tinge of WTF?!?!

Now I’m dying to try wrapping up Kalliope. Somehow, I’m not sure she’d be quite as appreciate of the attention as Tiger Lily…

I feel the need to point out that purring doesn’t always mean that a cat is happy or contented. Some cats will purr when scared or anxious.

If your cat seems to enjoy the purrito, though, it might be because of the swaddling effect.

My girl Tabasco, however, would ME-OW her disapproval if I ever made a purrito out of her. I guess dressing up is not her thing–although my sister said her front paws make her look like she’s wearing Prada shoes.
